Ø  NCM has provided “Hersbit” and “Huibang” scholarships and temporary financial support for students from more than 20 universities on a regular basis, including Huaqiao University, Sichuan University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Qingdao University of Science & Technology, Fudan University, East China University of Science and Technology, Nanjing University of Technology, Nanjing University, Nankai University, Donghua University, Sun Yat-Sen University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Tongji University and Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, to support local training of chemical talents and China’s education cause.Click here for news photos

Ø  NCM began to sponsor the poor students in Maogou Primary School of Baojing County, Hunan Province in 1999, which was the first public welfare project of NCM. In 2009, Peng Guiyin, a student of the Central Primary School of Maogou Town who is among the 32 former drop-out children in the poor mountainous areas with sponsorship from NCM since 1999 and a child who received financial support from President Pan himself, was enrolled in the Major of Chinese Language and Literature in Changsha University of Science and Technology with excellent academic achievements.Click here for news photos

Ø  Starting from 2002, NCM has sponsored a panda named “Hersbit” in Ya’an, Sichuan Province, which shows its deep involvement in environmental and animal protection fields.

Ø  During Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008, NCM teamed up with Changhong Group in the disaster relief work. Thirty big tents for military use were donated; RMB275,000 was raised spontaneously among employees and donated to Yuanjiaba Middle School in Lizhou District, Guangyuan City, and a quake-resistant Hope School named after “Hersbit” was set up as well.Click here for news photos

Ø  In 2008, NCM labour union committee issued the Letter of Appeal for Donation to Relieve Quake-Affected People in Sichuan. Finally, all the funds internally raised were donated to Yuanjiaba Middle School, Lizhou, Guangyuan through China Youth Development Foundation, and a quake-resistant Hope School named after “Hersbit” was built as well.Click here for news photos
